The Coast Guard Service Dress Blue Skirt is worn with four other women’s blue dress uniforms (Dinner, Full, Tropical, and Winter Dress Blue) in addition to the Alpha and Bravo variations of the Service Dress Blue Uniform. This straight-style (as opposed to A-line), fully lined skirt has one front panel with four pleats and quarter top pockets and two back panels, each with a pair of darts and a kick pleat at the bottom of the panel. The waistband feature a button and buttonhole and a slide-fastener closure in the back. Black pumps are mandatory when the skirt is worn in lieu of the slacks. In the Coast Guard Auxiliary, women wear this skirt with the Service Dress Blue, Winter Dress Blue, Tropical Blue, and Undress Blue – Winter Uniforms.
Note: Regulations call for the skirt to have a 2-3 inch hem that is parallel to the floor, with the hemline falling between the crease in the back of the to three inches below the crease. We ship the skirt unfinished so you can have it adjusted to provide a perfect fit. However, the option having our alterations team hem your skirt based upon your measurements and Coast Guard regulations will be offered when you add the trousers to your shopping cart.
