The Male Service Coat is worn by both Officers and Enlisted personnel, with the only differences being the pocket design (Officer coat pockets are bellowed, Enlisted are patch pockets) and how rank is displayed: Officers wear metal grade insignia on the epaulets of the coat and Enlisted wear Chevrons on the sleeves between the shoulder and the elbow (Enlisted also wear Service Stripes at the bottom of the sleeve).
Manufactured at our facility in North Carolina, our USMC Male Service Coat is made entirely from domestic, Mil-Spec certified components and materials such as our premium 55/45% polyester-wool gabardine, making it fully Berry Amendment-compliant. Features include:
♦ USMC Green Shade 2212
♦ 55/45 polywool gabardine blend
♦ Four 40-ligne subdued front closure buttons
♦ Six 27-ligne subdued buttons (pockets and epaulets)
♦ Pleated breast pockets
♦ Green belt with gold buckle
Note: Our military dress coats and jackets are manufactured and ship with unfinished sleeves longer than most customers would ever need. This is to accommodate various arm lengths and provide you with ample material during alterations; it has the added benefit of reducing total alteration costs for Enlisted personnel since placement of service stripes is based upon distance from the sleeve end, allowing you to hem the sleeve to its regulation length before sewing on sleeve ornamentation in the exact location called for in regulations. We do offer a variety of sleeve alteration services that will be suggested to you when add the coat to your shopping cart should you prefer to have the coat arrive ready to wear.
