This replacement cover for the Marine Corps’ Service Cap is manufactured in Forestry Green using a 55/45 polyester-wool (polywool) blended fabric. It comes with the eyelet in place to attach the enlisted Service Cap device, a subdued (black) version of the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor sold separately (

The United States Marine Corps is the only branch of the Armed Forces of the United States that requires its enlisted personnel to own two types of peaked combination caps. Although the Service Cap may be worn at the individual’s option when the Service uniform is worn, Commanders may prescribe its wear on specific occasions at their discretion—another way of saying enlisted Marines must have a Service Cap in addition to the Dress Cap.
Fortunately, the Marine Corps Service and Dress caps use the same frame, which makes it relatively easy to have one cap frame pull double duty by just switching the cover that slides over the top of the frame. For enlisted Marines, the only other change that needs to be made is to replace the types of screw-in post buttons with EGA emblems that secures the chinstrap; the Service Cap uses black 27-ligne buttons, and the Dress Cap uses gold buttons in the same size.
Even if you own two cap frames, it's a good idea to keep a backup cover for each cap style.
