Blue Dress Trousers are worn with all four variations (A/B/C/D) of the Male Officer Blue Dress Uniform. The 1.5” scarlet stripe that is sewn onto the outer seam of each Trouser leg is nicknamed a “blood stripe” in reference to a legend that the stripe was a memorial to the high number of Officers who died during the Battle of Chapultepec during the Mexican War. (A solid red trouser stipe was actually introduced in USMC uniform regulations in 1849 without reference to the pivotal battle that took place two years earlier.)
Manufactured in North Carolina at our state-of-the-art production facility, our Blue Dress Officer Trousers are crafted from a premium 55/45 polyester-wool fabric in USMC shade 2319. While we adhere strictly to USMC uniform regulations and specifications when making the Trousers, but we also add exclusive allowable enhancements wherever we can to improve their look, feel, and durability. An example is our rubberized waistband on the Blue Dress Trousers, designed to guarantee you a secure fit while keeping your shirt tucked in where it belongs.
We ship all our pants, including the USMC Blue Dress Trousers, with the legs unhemmed so that you can have the length adjusted to provide a perfect fit. We do offer a Trouser hemming service for those who wish to have their Trousers arrive ready to wear; it will be offered when you add the Trousers to your shopping cart.
