Note: This coat is made to order with a production time of between 5 to 6 weeks. In light of this, any cancellation or replacement request must be made within 24 hours of placing the order. The order cannot be canceled and no credit can be issued for it after that period.
Worn only with the Service “A” Uniform, the USMC Female Service Coat is manufactured with a 55/45 polywool gabardine blend in USMC Green Shade 2212, featuring a single-breasted design with notched lapels. Unlike the version worn by male Marines, the Service Coat for females has two princess seams in the front but no belt and no pockets. Enlisted personnel display their rank with chevrons on both sleeves, and any services stripes earned are worn at the sleeve end (see sewing services below). Officers wear their insignia of grade on shirt collars and on the epaulets of the Coat.
Note: Our military dress coats and jackets are manufactured and ship with unfinished sleeves longer than most customers would ever need. This is to accommodate various arm lengths and provide you with ample material during alterations; it has the added benefit of reducing total alteration costs for Enlisted personnel since placement of service stripes is based upon distance from the sleeve end, allowing you to hem the sleeve to its regulation length before sewing on sleeve ornamentation in the exact location called for in regulations.
