The Male Officer Dinner Dress White Jacket Uniform (DDWJ) is a Summer Uniform worn at official functions where civilians would be in Black Tie attire. It is prescribable for United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps Officers in the O-4 grade (Surgeon) and above and optional for Senior Assistant Surgeons (O-3) and lower, including Warrant and Chief Warrant Officers (the grades are authorized but have never been filled).
The USPHS uses United States Navy uniforms that are modified with USPHS Commissioned Corps insignia, and we manufacture the DDWJ with Navy-authorized fabric and Mil-Spec certified components. Insignia of rank is displayed on hard shoulder boards that are attached to the jacket via shoulder loops; the loops are included in the jacket price but ship unattached unless you opt for our sew-on service.
Our USPHS Commissioned Corps Male DDWJ Uniform page simplifies the process of buying this formal uniform (or picking up replacement items for an existing uniform) by placing its components on a single page, and can always learn more about any particular items by clicking on its image for more detailed product information.
