The USPHS Female Dress Blue Coat forms the basis of the Women’s Full Dress, Dinner Dress, and Dress Blue Uniforms. Identical to the Navy’s female Dress Blue coat, it is manufactured at our production facility in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina using Navy-authorized 55/45 polyester-wool fabric blend. This single-breasted coat sports four removable 35-ligne gilt USPHS buttons, a single welt breast pocket on the left side, and a sword slit on the left hip. USPHS Commissioned Corps rank is displayed with gold stripes on both sleeves.
Note: Our military dress coats and jackets are manufactured and ship with unfinished sleeves longer than most customers would ever need. This is to accommodate various arm lengths and to minimize total alteration costs, since placement of sleeve stripes or devices is predicated on the distance from the sleeve end. We do offer a variety of sleeve alteration services that will be suggested to you when add the coat to your shopping cart should you prefer to have the coat arrive ready to wear.
