WHITE SHIRT BUTTONS

These 20-line (ligne) buttons measure a half-inch in diameter and are used on the  shirt worn by Officers and CPOs with the Summer White Service Uniform. Having extra shirt and pants buttons for each of your uniform ensembles should be considered an essential part of being fully prepared, and at six bits (75 centers) per button there’s no reason you shouldn’t have an ample supply.

Remember, bust because you might have gone years without ever having lost a button or seen one crack after a trip to the laundry doesn’t mean you won’t need one tomorrow—and of course your button cache could well help a brother or sister in arms avoid the uncomfortable situations that missing buttons so often lead to.
